Same-Day Dentistry

Digital impressions and CAD/CAM may shorten some stages for suitable restorations. Same-day completion depends on individual assessment; necessary healing and checks are not skipped.

On this page

With CAD/CAM, selected restorations may be prepared the same day under suitable conditions. This does not mean every tooth or all treatments can be completed in one visit.

Which Restorations May Be Considered?

For the following options, examination, preparation, manufacture and try-in needs are considered together. Same-day suitability should not be assumed.

1. Crown Restorations

Crowns require preparation and impressions. Material processing, finishing and fit checks remain necessary; machine time is not total treatment time.

2. Porcelain Veneers (Laminate Veneers)

Veneers require assessment of design, preparation, colour and fit. Laboratory work or further try-ins may require several visits.

3. Porcelain Fillings (Inlays/Onlays)

Inlays and onlays are partial restorations assessed according to remaining tooth structure. They are considered alongside fillings or crowns.

4. Immediate Loading of Dental Implants

Early or same-day implant loading is considered only under selected conditions. Temporary teeth and definitive prostheses are different stages; implant stability and bone condition matter.

Our Technology: How Does the Digital Workflow Operate?

  1. Digital Scanning: Our dentist uses an intraoral camera to transfer a three-dimensional image of your teeth to the computer.
  2. Design: The restoration is designed according to the tooth’s requirements and bite relationship.
  3. Manufacture: The chosen material undergoes appropriate manufacturing and finishing stages.
  4. Checks: Fit, margins and bite are assessed in the mouth. Digital methods do not remove these checks or the possibility of further adjustments.
