All-on-4 supports a full-arch fixed prosthesis on four implants in suitable cases. A same-day temporary restoration depends on clinical conditions, including bone assessment and implant stability; it is not the final stage of treatment.
Your role while wearing temporary teeth
Fixed temporary teeth fitted around surgery depend on implants that are still healing. Feeling comfortable does not mean bone healing is complete. Follow the prescribed food and cleaning instructions rather than testing hard foods. If something loosens, breaks or changes your bite, contact the clinic instead of trying to tighten or repair it yourself.
Ask why alternatives such as removable dentures, a different number of implants or preserving treatable teeth do or do not fit your case. A treatment label cannot replace that explanation. If travelling to Turkey, establish whether you can return home with the temporary restoration, who will provide interim care and what is required before the visit for permanent teeth.
How is suitability assessed?
Assessment considers missing teeth, whether existing teeth can be preserved, bone, gums and general health. Four implants are not the right number for every jaw. Implant positions and prosthetic design require an individual plan and appropriate imaging.
What does same-day teeth mean?
A temporary fixed prosthesis may be possible after surgery under suitable conditions. This does not mean every patient receives final teeth and completes treatment that day. Ask about restrictions with temporary teeth and criteria for the final restoration.
Which risks need discussion?
Healing problems, infection, implant loss and mechanical problems with the prosthesis can occur. Oral care and general health matter during follow-up. If removal of existing teeth is proposed, ask why and discuss options that preserve them where possible.
How should travel and reviews be planned?
Separate surgery, healing and final prosthesis stages in the written plan. Before travelling to Istanbul, clarify anticipated visits and who to contact between stages. Ask for a demonstration of cleaning beneath the prosthesis and ongoing review arrangements.
