An aligner quote involves more than tray count: case complexity, reviews, refinements and retention also matter. Invisalign is a brand, not the name of every clear aligner; confirm the system and services included.
The fee covers more than a stack of aligners
Diagnosis, movement planning, attachments, review appointments and retention are separate parts of aligner treatment. Ask whether extra refinement aligners and a new scan are included if further adjustment is needed after the first series. Clarify the process and cost for a lost or damaged aligner too.
If an aligner is not seating fully or wear has been interrupted, do not advance merely because the calendar says so; contact your treating clinician. Consider removal, meals, drinks and cleaning in your daily routine. For treatment followed from abroad, sending photographs cannot replace every examination. Establish who can assess a detached attachment, unexpected movement or another problem in person, and how that care relates to the agreed fee.
Which case does the quote cover?
One or both arches, required movements, treatment goals and review plans can affect cost. Fewer trays do not always mean a simpler case. Your scope is established through examination and the necessary records.
Are refinements included?
Actual movement is monitored clinically, and further records or an additional aligner phase may be needed. Ask about these charges and replacing lost or damaged trays. A software animation is not a promise of an unchanging result.
Is retention separate?
A retention plan should be discussed for keeping teeth in position after active treatment. Ask about retainers, reviews and replacement costs. Treatment involves more than delivery of the last active aligner.
How does travel affect treatment?
If living outside Istanbul, clarify in-person checks, where to seek help and possible extra visits. Remote photographs cannot replace every examination. Do not speed up tray changes on your own; follow your clinician’s plan.
