Three questions for a treatment discussion
Which finding is the reason for this recommendation? Is there a less invasive or different option? How will care and reviews continue after I return from Istanbul?
Write the answers beside your treatment plan. Ask for unfamiliar terms to be explained; do not base a decision only on appearance or the starting price before the relevant information is clear.
Order your questions around the treatment decision
Start with 'What problem are we trying to solve and what are my options?' Then ask what is necessary, what is optional, the significant risks and whether observation without treatment is an option. Cost and travel time are easier to compare after the scope is understood.
Repeat the explanation in your own words to reveal uncertainty: for example, 'I will leave the first trip with temporary teeth and need reassessment before the permanent stage—is that correct?' Add how unexpected findings would change the plan and fee and which records you will receive. Questions are part of making an informed decision; time for understanding should be included, rather than treating agreement as a quick booking formality.
Specific questions for your conversation
Is there an option that preserves this tooth? Who will perform the procedure? Are temporary teeth and the final review included? Will I have time to decide if the plan changes? Who pays for assessment, additional treatment and travel if a problem appears back home? Ask for answers specific to your plan.
